I stumbled on Andrew Ripp the other day and I'm glad that I did. This Illinois native now lives in Nashville with every other great musician out there. He hasn’t had much exposure yet, but with the help of some friends I am sure he will do just fine. His latest release She Remains The Same was produced by Dave Barnes! So check him out and tell a friend.

Rock legend Warren Haynes, frontman of Gov't Mule and member of The Allman Brothers Band recently released Man in Motion. A step away from his usual shredding, Warren channels his inner B.B. King and delivers a masterful, soulful album. I could go on and on about this guy, especially his latest album, but I'll spare you the time and let you get straight to the music. Enjoy!!

Meet The Joy Formidable. This alt-rock band from Wales comprises of two childhood friends who, after previous failed attempts at starting bands, connected with a third member and have been really making a name for themselves. Last yearss debut album The Big Roar saw the releases of singles like "Whirring" and "Austere". Reminiscent of Silversun Pickups, this band should have no problem hitting it big in the US when they play Lollapalooza this summer. Check out the videos below and don't forget to vote!

Johnny Stimson is a 22-year old singer who recently graduated from Texas A&M with a business degree. But don't let that fool you. He's been playing music since he was a kid. His upbeat songs are reminiscent of Jason Mraz and Dave Barnes, full of catchy melodies. He's not afraid to break it down and cover Bob Dylan though, as evident in the video for "Make You Feel My Love" below. Be sure to check out his official website to listen to all of his songs, including "Hot Air Baloon" off of his self-titled release.
You can purchase songs to download here.
So...how many stars do you give Johnny?

Lissie is a Midwestern singer whose indie-pop sound has gotten some attention lately. Raised in Illinois, she knew there was more out there for her - she even got kicked out of high school! After entering college, she decided that music was her calling. Hey, it may not be the ideal story, but in the end, she made the right decision. Her debut album Catching A Tiger was released last year, which made it big on the U.S. folk and indie charts. Check out her biggest single so far "When I'm Alone". As an added bonus, she has a kick-ass cover of Kid Cudi's "Pursuit of Happiness" which you can see below.
